I spend a LOT of time using my eyes. As I type this blog post, I’m staring at a computer screen and my eyes are sending information to my brain. During the day, I’m on my phone constantly, replying to Instagram comments and sending hundreds of texts to make sure various events are set to go off without a hitch. As a result, I take my shut eye very seriously.

Even so, I tend not to get enough of it and end up with dark eye circles. I’m a college student known for biting off more than she can chew, so shut-eye time is hard to come by. My Fenty under-eye concealer is my best friend.

As a result, when VII Code reached out about a collaboration, I said yes right away. Oxygen eye masks are absolutely needed in my life right now.

When I received the package, I was admittedly underwhelmed by the box’s design, but the actual eye masks’ packaging was incredibly sleek and professional. The box came with six eye mask sets, to be used 2-3 times a week for up to 8 hours.

I seriously love the gel texture of these eye masks. They’re super fun to use (I’m a dork for anything squishy, what can I say?) and they stick to your face incredibly well. The masks are able to be used overnight, but since I move a lot in my sleep, I opted to use these for 4-6 hours during the day.

I do recommend wearing these about an inch under your lower lash line, as they can be uncomfortable due to the thickness if you wear them too close to your eyes. Once I adjusted them, though, I had no issues and was able to carry about as though they weren’t even there. I personally loved using these post shower and post brushing my teeth, as I could settle into bed to watch Netflix and let VII Code continue my skincare routine while I munched on snacks.

As for results, I didn’t use these as consistently as I should have, so my results are not as good as they should be. What I will say is that I truly enjoyed using them and had no issues with them beyond needing to move them further below my eyes. They stayed in place super well and didn’t leave any nasty residue after I took them off. When I took them off, my skin felt quite refreshed, although I didn’t notice any dramatic immediate results.

Even so, in the reviews, a lot of women were raving about a major decrease in puffiness immediately after just one use, so if that’s something you struggle with, this seems to be the perfect product. I don’t have much puffiness, so I think that’s why this product didn’t give me any immediate results.

Overall, I definitely recommend these to my fellow college students struggling with under-eye issues due to lack of sleep (and stress cries, if I’m being honest). They’re so easy to just pop on at home when you’re doing homework or right before bed. You could even buy a package and give each friend a pair at your next wine night. Self care is key but it doesn’t always have to be alone!
