I refuse to admit that it’s getting cold here at Penn State, but if I’m being honest with myself, I definitely won’t have many more chances to wear shorts. In an attempt to deny the impending doom that is Penn State winter (We don’t really do fall here.) and also get something up because it’s been over two months since a blog post, I’m finally caving and posting the last of my content from Chris (@white.craft, who else?).

Shoutout to Chris for making 5'4" me look a million times taller. Maybe the culottes help, too?

I’m in love with these pants. I’ve personally been a big fan of the culotte trend since it started back up this summer, but I hadn’t seen any denim culottes. Cropped flares were everywhere, but denim culottes? That was a first for me. These are honestly a dream. I love the fringe on the bottom and top of this pair, as it really sets them apart from your average pair of jeans or culottes.

I bought them in Taiwan at a Japanese clothing store. I stared at them for a solid 20 minutes, but I thought they seemed a bit much so i didn’t want to try them. I finally caved and asked my sister to try them on. She ended up buying them and a minute later, I tried them on and fell in love. They’re such a ~statement,~ honestly. Sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone leads to some amazing finds.

The top I paired with these pants is an amazing Depop find from @bonchondenim. Also, if you aren’t already using Depop, you should be! I’ve found some amazing clothes there. Plus, shopping secondhand is an amazing way to not only save money, but save the environment by cutting down on waste and the production of new clothes. Do it!!!! (note: Depop didn’t ask me to say any of that, I just really like Depop.)

Self-love is a topic near and dear to my heart, but for some reason, I really struggled with writing that post in a way that I liked, so it’s been sitting on my computer for some time just waiting to see the light of day.
